budding which is a process of asexual reproduction. The process begins in the shallow parts of a tropical area near the ocean then works it way down to the deep part of the ocean. Coral Reef grow in colonies. The colonies expand from each other.

As Coral Reef expand, it creates many opportunities for the ocean. Coral Reef is known as the “Life of the ocean”. Coral Reefs are home to many fish. It helps protect fish and feed the fish in their habitats. Coral Reefs also serve as camouflage to blend in to hunt or to hide.

are in a crisis now. Coral reefs in danger from many things such as diseases and tourism. Many organisms in the ocean and land organisms have diseases that could affect the whole ecosystem and could spread to the whole Coral Reef system.

Many tourist that travel to tropical areas and go on underwater tours usually take a piece of Coral with them. Well, one piece could affect the colony. Taking one piece from a colony is like taking a baby from its mother. The Coral Reef depend on each other to grow and survive.
