Next week is Education Week. As part of our celebrations we had a special pa-rade thanking our wonderful staff for their great contributions to our school. Our P&C president Mrs Alisse Bradley also made a lovely speech thanking the Well-camp Staff. Thank you to our grandparents who helped celebrate Grandparents Day this morning with our P/1 and 2/3 classes. On Monday and Tuesday I will attend Peer Review training professional develop-ment at Highfields. Janelle Trenaman will take my place here at school. Student booklists will go home today and the school pick-up for these will be on Tuesday the 6th of December. If you have any questions about your child’s list please contact your class teacher. Our uniform coordinator will also be on hand that day so that you can order uniforms and hats for 2017. Students will soon begin their end of year assessments so it is very important that students are at school every day unless they are ill. They have begun their prepara-tions for the end of year concert and are working hard along with out music teach-er, Mrs Allison Fitzpatrick to make it a wonderful event. I am excited to announce that Jen Spring was successful in securing us a grant from Cadbury for $400 to go towards our playgroup program for 2017. Well done Jen, I’m sure Miss Dowe and Mrs Russell will put the money to good use.

Thank you so much to the parents this semester that have supported the iAIMS Parent project. The aim of this semester is to increase parent awareness of not only the activities we do here at school but to make parents aware of the Australian Physical & Sedentary guidelines. It is said that children should be participating in moderate to vigorous physical activity for over 60mins a day. As you are all aware at school we offer many types of physical activity but it needs to be sup-plemented at home. The following programs were run in aide of parents this semester and were supported im-mensely.
• Initial project online survey
• Km club
• iAIMS Fun Fitness morning
• Alisse Bradley talk
• Healthguard Wellness Toowoomba nutrition session
• Healthy afternoon tea provided by Paula Neumann
• End of project online survey
The next step is for Mrs Duncan to take these results and feedback and present her findings to Mrs Jocelyn Elliott, Regional Project Officer – iAIM (Increasing Activity & Intelligent Minds) DDSW at a conference in Dalby next week. Wellcamp prides itself on not only being active outside the class but using active brain breaks as well to engage students in their learning and improve confidence for success. A game (brain break) you might like to play with your family is First to 21. The object is to say 21 and win. You have the option when it is your turn to say the next consecutive number or two. For example…. I go first, I say 1 You can say 2 or 2…3. You say 2. And so on. The person who says 21 wins. For a change, make the person who says 21 the loser. This brain break has been the most engaging by far. Physical Activities Offered in 2016 in addition to regular PE lessons and morning sport. • Dance Fever dance classes • Free Tennis lessons. • Hockey Coaching free • Touch football • Aussie Hoops basketball • Rugby Tots • Km Club • Gonoodle • Brain breaks • Aerobics • Swimming • Hip-hop classes • Basketball
Helpers Wanted We are asking for volunteers to help with a letterbox drop of some flyers promoting enrolment of our school for 2017. Please see the
office if you are able to help.
Exciting News!!!! The transition programme for en-en-en-en-
rolledrolledrolledrolled Pre-Preps is starting soon!
This is when our Pre-Preps under-
take visits to their new school and
experience what is in store for
them in the coming year. These transition days are quite valua-
ble in making the adjustment to school much easier. It is most
important to note that these days are only available to children
who have fully enrolled at our school. This includes filling out
and handing in the enrolment form as
well as presentation of a birth certifi-
cate. We would love to have your Pre-
Preps join us for these AWESOME experiences so please get
that enrolment completed. We will look forward to receiving
your forms and spending time with our gorgeous Pre-Preps.
Students in Years 5 and 6 are invited to enter the Annual Elaine Stansbie Handwriting Award to be judged later this term. Students will be asked to hand in their best copy of Advance Australia Fair. Remember - Practice Makes Perfect!
Our thanks go out to all the wonderful
Wellcamp staff for the work they do to make
this such a great school, for all the ex-tra time and support
they give the students and each other and for their tireless dedica-tion to their work.

This is the role/roles that I’d love to put our hands up for… (yes you’re more than welcome to do more than one role)
Welcoming Elves - Our welcoming elves sit at the entry table and greet our families as they arrive and collect the gold coin entry donation and direct them to where they need to go (note you’ll need to be at the hall by 3.45pm.
Name Tag Elf/Elves - Our Name Tag elves hand out the families name tags (to help prevent those “what’s their name again” moments!!) (note you’ll need to be at the hall by 3.45pm.
Chris & Carol the Candle Elves - These glowing Elves will sell the battery operated candles for Carols by Candlelight (note you’ll need to be at the hall by 3.45pm.
Ruffles – the Raffle Ticket Elves These helpful elves will help our families purchase some more
raffle tickets in the awesome prizes we’ve got available this year. (note you’ll need to be at the hall by 3.45pm.
MRS CLAUSES KITCHEN MRS CLAUSE – One of the most important roles for the evening, prepares the menu, sources
ingredients, and is the team leader for the evening
Self Professed BBQ KING elves - Flip our burger patties, sizzle the sausages, sauté the onions (and
get out of some of the concert!!!!!)
Dinner Service Elves - Prepare the salads, place out the condiments, plates napkins etc, and help
serve our families their dinner.
May I take your order elf - Will gladly take your order and money for dinner
Dinner Clean Up Elves - Take over from the Dinner Service Elves and whilst they eat, will take any seconds orders and pack away and wash up and clean down the kitchen
Drink Stall Elves - Our drink stall helper elves will sell drinks to all thirsty elves & children. We also
need a ‘HEAD DRINK ELF’ who will co-ordinate the purchase, refrigeration and transit of drinks to and from the event – if that sounds like you – tick here:
Sweet Elves - Will set up the grand table in the middle of the hall and put out all the family donated desserts for all to share, and will help serve out desserts as required.
Tea & Coffee Station Elves - These elves set up the tea & coffee station, keep an eye on supplies throughout the evening and pack away the station at the end of the night (you don’t need to man it)
PACK UP & HALL CLEANING - It’s a beautiful tradition that we all come together at the end of the evening to help pack up and clean the hall (picking up litter, packing chairs, sweeping floors, wiping down benches & up any spills. – Thank you in advance for helping out.
Each year we ask for all families to fill some important roles to make the evening go as smoothly as possible, and in the spirit
of getting organised, we’d love to know what role you’d like to put your hand up for this year… (If we don’t hear from you,
we’ll slot you into a role anyway – what’s that saying again - many hands make light work or was it – put your hand up now
so you don’t get toilet duty!!)
You’ll notice the roles are a little elf-y. Well we all know it’s the elves that make the North Pole work! We don’t expect you
to dress up (but please feel free to if you really want to) we just ask you to embrace the spirit of Christmas Fun we’re trying
to bring into the event and as we try to make it a wonderful night for everyone.
Can you believe it’s only 6 weeks away until our Wellcamp Christmas
Concert on the 4th of December?
Neither could we… We’ve been ticking away in the background over the
last 6months working on a few little projects and we’re getting rather
excited about the evening and hope you are too.
