Remote Help Instructions

1. Click Start.2. Right-click My

1. Click the Remote tab.

1. Make sure Remote Assistance is checked. If it isn’t, check the checkbox.

2. Click OK.

1. Click Start.2. Click Help and

Support.

1. Click Support.

1. Click Ask a friend to help.

1. Click Invite someone to help you

1. Type in the email address of the person who is helping you: someone@mps1.org

1. Click Invite this person.

1. Optional: type a short description of the problem.

2. Click Continue.

1. Leave duration set to 1 Hour and leave the password checkbox checked.

2. Enter the word “password” twice.

3. Click Send Invitation.

1. If this window pops up:

2. Check Allow and click Yes.

1. If this window pops up:

2. Click Yes.

1. Exit this screen and wait for the technician to respond.

1. Click Yes.

1. This window will pop up once the technician has connected to your computer.

1. Click Yes to let the technician take control.

1. Now the technician is controlling your PC. Do not use the mouse or keyboard unless you are asked to.

1. Click OK.

Congratulations! You have just completed your remote desktop help. Now all you have to do is exit out of this screen!
