DESCRIPTION

How to replace the battery in your Sollight RailLight Mini

TRANSCRIPT

1. You will need a #10 Torx driver and a #8 Torx driver to remove the screws from the lens of the RailLight. You may be able to find these small Torx bits that can be fitted into a driver

handle rather than buy both Torx drivers. A small slotted screw driver is also handy for prying any sticky parts.

2. Remove the three (3) Torx screws from the underside of the RailLight.

3. Pull the lens assembly from the LED assembly, leaving the rubber sealing ring around the base on the lens.

4. Remove the two screws that attach the reflector and LED circuit-board.

5. Remove the reflector and very carefully peel back the circuit board from the assembly to reveal the battery compartment.

6. Using the #8 Torx, remove the two screws from the battery compartment cover.

7. Remove the cover (some of the glue that seals the wires attaching the connectors at either end of the battery may make this a tricky job – take your time).

8. Remove the battery (remember which is the positive battery terminal). Try to keep the small metal battery connectors at either end of the compartment in place. If they fall out, carefully

replace them in their slots.

9. Insert a new rechargeable battery. Be sure the positive and negative terminals are aligned correctly.

10. Replace the battery compartment cover.

11. Carefully replace the LED circuit board and align the screw bosses.

12. Replace the reflector being sure the screw holes line up with the circuit board and screw bosses.

13. Replace the two screws holding the reflector, making sure the reflector is centered in the RailLight assembly.

14. Replace the lens, making sure the screw holes are lined up and the rubber sealing ring is correctly in place. Test the light by pushing the switch. Replace the screws and your finished!
