All the camps were designed in such a way to make the participants feel the joy of studying basic

sciences and pave the way for strengthening the resource base of Science and Technology. It

included lectures of renowned scientsts, Shanti Sarup Bhatnagar awardees, fellows of National

academices (Pl. see the Table II). The scientific success stories , the joys of innovation across all

science streams and career opportunities have been covered in these lectures. The scientic

shows, visit of different sophisticated laboratories for experimental sessions, visit of regional

Science centre and Scientific model competitions ate also part of the programme. (Pl. see the

Photographs). The State Council for Education Research and Training (SCERT), District

Education Department and Department of School Education, Govt. of Chhattisgarh provided

assistance for student selections. All areas of sciences like Physics, Chemistry, Environmental

Sciences, Biology, Earth Science and Mathematics have been covered with special emphasis on

interdisciplinary aspects.

Such an exposure would definitely attract a good number of young budding students

to pursue their higher studies and research in different fields of Science. It is a program with long

term foresight.
