Advanced materials and manufacturing processesare vital to the innovation of new products. TheDepartment of Mechanical Engineering has numerouscurrent research projects on fibre composites, metallicand metal matrix composite materials, and coatings, aswell as on the advanced manufacturing processesrequired to make these products.
