Guidelines

• The following research projects must obtain approval from PPUKM:• 1. Research conducted in PPUKM – PI is PPUKM staff.• 2. Research conducted outside PPUKM – if the PI is PPUKM staff.

• Application from researchers outside PPUKM to conduct research in PPUKM:

• Other faculties in UKM - PPUKM staff must be co-researcher.• Other universities/institutions – PI must be PPUKM staff

• Research done by PPUKM staff in other hospitals/clinics/communities must have written agreement from head of hospital/clinics/communities.

• Research done in collaboration with other universities/private companies must have research agreement signed by all parties.

Guidelines

• Research that use patients, space, equipment or supporting staff from other departments/units in PPUKM/FPUKM must have a co-researcher from the relevant dept/unit.

• OR• written permission from Head of dept/unit etc..

• Research that audits hospital service must include the relevant stakeholders as co-researchers

• OR• The relevant stakeholders should be consulted before the manuscript is

sent for publication• AND• Manuscript must be sent to the Director, PPUKM for review before

sending to the journal for publication

• Introduce and train PPUKM researchers on how to conduct Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis studies. 

• Provide consultation on Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis studies

• Conduct training workshops (1x/year).
