Roll of Honour

of

Tunnellers who fell

in the Great War

Presented with the kind permission of the Dean and Chapter of St Paul’s Cathedral

St Pauls Catherdral was

an icon of the London Blitz

of World War 2.

Londoners maintained that

as long as

St Pauls survived

England would survive.

The Chapel of All Souls

is situated on the ground

floor of the north-west

tower of the Cathedral.

This Chapel was dedicated in

1925 to the memory of

Field Marshal Lord Kitchener

(1850-1916) and the servicemen

who died in the Great War of

1914-18

Safely housed inside the Cathedral

are the Honour Rolls of the

Commonwealth Engineer units of

World War 1.

The Rolls had been paid for by

public subscription in the

various countries –

England, Australia, Canada etc.
