TRANSCRIPT

RSS - finding what you're interested in and bringing

information to you

RSS

Really Simple SyndicationBringing information TO YOU!

(online, not the snail mail way!)

Why is this important for students?

You can help to drive your own learning

You read about what interests you

You find the people who are interested in what interests you

A good way to start

Define your search terms – try to find people writing about your area of interest

Read the writing of others - make a connection. Learn from them and

comment

Find what people are reading- look for lists of blogs they read

Once you’ve found like minds, subscribe to the feed from their site

Make a decision about how you will manage your feeds
