This is 1 hr away from Hampi.9 hrs north of Bangalore by train

I found Hampi amazing, more as a backdrop of the event. Team - work!!!

Home of one of participants, he actually comes froma relatively well to do family.

In Rural India bullock carts still lead and show the way

I didn’t let him take part, but was looking forward to doing 2 km event. They just

weren’t looking for excuses. He volunteered to help.

Hydration can’t get better than this.

Wearing slippers is considered a luxury here

And a very well balanced diet

Punctuality: They were their before time, which is considered a rare characteristic

among Indians

Hunger to absorb and learn: Other than computer, other facilities are very basic, but all trainees are very keen to know and learn more

Confidence: They would all look into to your eyes and were very sure about themselves. Again, something

they have learnt in short 5 months.

Rajesh Bhat, project director, sets an example by taking part along with other trainees.

Camaraderie: Other teams cheer a trainee who is struggling to finish

Discipline: without being told, all other teams were standing in a queue cheering

for all participants

Sense of achievement: this was first time, in the shortest period, they realised

what they could acheive

Team spirit: they understood that they had to work together to win

Sportsmen spirit: They themselves told

me that they all were winners that day :)

Learning for us all: Interns from abroad come to this centre to learn from rural India. Note the 2 ladies on

the left, they are from Netherland
