● Leadership styles

● Personality profiling

“Plans change as we progress. If your goals aren’t working, change the plan or you will miss opportunities. Be conscious and give yourself space to think. Find your running.” -Naomi Ballantyne

Thank you

Eva, Jess and Liz

“Do you know when you are next going to see your family?” - Eva

The funny thing, is that they pick

the best photo.

This WAS the best photo.

My visit to Rotary | Traditional format

perceptions

Is it a boys club?

Is it secret like the freemasons?

“Can’t beat the old boys club babe” - Stephen Dingle, 8th August

Responding to

changeBecause we all know..Repeating the

same processes and expecting a

different result is stupidity

For the times they are’a changing

Involving the young’uns

● Younger audience WITH benefit of guidance

● Mentorship

● Efficient use of time | less is more (meetings)

● Social platforms

● Relaxed

● Hands on with making a difference

● Reduced fees

● Close to home

(Rotalite is the name of Henderson

Rotary Club’s satellite club targeted

at people aged 20-45. Abbie has

recently joined Rotalite)

On a personal level...

What is driving the people coming to Rotary?

Different things for different people.

● Arouse in the other person an eager want.

● Become genuinely interested in other people.

● Smile.

● Remember that a person's name is to that person the

sweetest and most important sound in any language.

Remember Dale Remember Dale Remember Dale Remember Dale

Carnegie...Carnegie...Carnegie...Carnegie...For me;

● Driven by a strong

faith

● Eager to improve

the lives of others

in whatever

capacity that

presents itself

● Wanting to make a

difference

● Network

Keeping RYLA’rians

Fist step is getting them back for that presentation… ideally to a

meeting which celebrates and advertises all the great stuff

Rotary does, because it isn’t promoted enough!

AND

Ideally a Rotalite version.

KNOW YOUR MARKET

To summarise;

● Plans change, change with them.

● To be a good team member is to not hold others back but to support them and

make sure everyone is supported.

● Finding VALUE and opportunities to LEARN. Skills, culture. Being humble and

respecting others in helping you learn.

● Never assume from a person’s age how wise or intelligent they are. People

surprise you.

● Rotary is not the freemasons and not just for boys.

● Respond to change

● Do Rotalite - let it build its own reputation

● Remember Carnegie

● Know your market
