Definition: The field intermingled cell bodies of neuron (grey) and nerve fibers(white matter) collectively termed reticular formation (RF) ( 神经胞体和纤维交错排列成为网状结构 )

Characteristics: Wide spread network, almost all the afferent and efferent fibers connect all the central nervous system
