Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity
The Most Holy Trinity is a Mystery of our
faith, a mystery not to solve, but to believe in.
Three Persons in One God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. While we cannot fully understand this mys-
tery, we can be confident that the Spirit will guide us to all truth. This week use today’s Gospel accla-
mation in prayer asking for deeper understanding
of the mystery of the Trinity: “Glory to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; to God who is, who
was, and who is to come.
2019 Catholic Appeal After 12 weeks of the 2019 Catholic Appeal, Sa-
cred Heart Parish has raised 61% or $28,250.00

ish members who each have contributed an aver-
age gift of $175.00 thus far. To join our Parish-
wide effort, please find an in-pew envelope at the
back of the Church or donate online at bostonca-
tholicappeal.org. Msgr. Frank Kelley
No Confirmation?
And now you are thinking you missed something? Give us a call. We are planning adult instruc-tions for you. Are you seeking to deepen your faith in God? What does it mean to “believe in God”, to be a disciple of Jesus? These are just a few questions we discuss and answer in our adult faith teaching. Call me or email me to inquire about our teachings program. Msgr. Frank Kelley (frkelley@sh-roslindale.org or call at 617-325-3322)

Today’s Liturgy
Trinity Sunday Two things stand out in today’s reading
from Proverbs. First, Wisdom, the Word of
God, the Love of God, was there before the
world was created. In the Gospel from a cou-
ple weeks ago, Jesus told the Father “You
loved me before the foundation of the world.”
In God’s wisdom, the need for a Savior and the
promise of a Savior, the illness and its cure,
were baked into creation from the beginning.
So we can trust that the gravitational pull of
God’s love will make the world right.
Second, from the beginning, God de-
lighted in Jesus playing on the surface of the
earth, and Jesus finds delight in us. In the same
Gospel, Jesus says of us: “They are your gift to
me.” Can we see Jesus as God’s playful side,
inviting us to play with him, bringing love to a
sinful world that so desperately needs more
love? Bill Coyne
On Saturday, June 29, Doug Fuda is working with Catholic Quest to show a powerful film about the en-cyclical Humanae Vitae. The movie is called UNPRO-
TECTED: A Pope, the Pill and the Perils of Sexual Chaos. It will be shown in the Murray Room at 2 pm and again at 5:30 pm. Contact Doug for more infor-mation: 617-331-1491 or dougfuda@runbox.com A free will donation of $5 would be appreciated.
IVC New England The Ignatian Volunteer Corps (IVC) opened its New England Region in January 2009. The first Ignatian Volunteers were eleven men and women from assorted walks of life and different educational backgrounds, looking to put their life experiences, talents and time at the disposal of the poor in the neighborhoods of Bos-ton, Worcester and Providence, and in surrounding communities. New England Ignatian volunteers teach, mentor, and advise in a variety of educational programs; provide services to potentially homeless elders; educate and locate resources for adult students and immigrants; as-sist older clients with medical appointments and entitle-ment benefits; offer administrative, development and HR support to non-profit staff; coordinate food and furniture outreach to families in need; coach job seek-ers in a culinary arts program; and organize retreats for homeless and formerly homeless men and women. Volunteers are mature men and women who share their time and talents in service to their community, and who participate in a year-long spiritual develop-ment program, including prayer and reflection in the Jesuit tradition. Volunteers commit to two days per week of service over a ten month period. I you would like more information please contact: Dave Hinchen, IVC Regional Director 617-571-3838 dhinchen@ivcusa.org www.ivcusa.org/new-england

Sacred Heart School: A STREAM Innovator What is STREAM? STREAM is an integrated curriculum encom-passing Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, the Arts, and
Mathematics. Scholars at Sacred Heart, from Pre-School to 8th Grade, incorporate skills from each of these areas in their work. In
the spring, the school showcases this effort in an all-school STREAM night, where each grade presents collaborative projects
that represent their studies and bring together level-appropriate
examples of the various disciplines. The STREAM curriculum focuses on critical thinking, a resilient learning through failure and
success, and collaboration—all skills for a 21st century citizen. Come by and see what STREAM learning does for our young
scholars!
