Accident – any suddenly occurring unintentional event that causes injury or property damage

Hazard – a potential source of danger First Aid – immediate temporary care

given to the victim of an accident or sudden illness

THE FIRE TRIANGLE

Classes of Fires Class A – fires that occur in ordinary

combustible materials Class B – fires that occur with flammable

liquids Class C – fires that occur in or near

electrical equipment Class D – fires that occur with

combustible materials

The two types of fires that are most likely to occur in the drafting lab are A and C
