The United Nations (UN) in 2010 declared the "Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011-2020„, with main goal: Reduce the number of victims on the roads by 50% by 2020.

EU adapted its Road Safety Programme (2011-2020)

The Croatian Government in April 2011, adopted a new „National programme of road traffic safety of the Republic of Croatia 2011-2020.”

3. ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE SAFETY MANAGEMENT

„The Directive 2008/96/EC on road infrastructure safety

management”.

„Law on roads” from 2013. requires implementation of the Directive

on TEN-T roads.

The Directive is applied through „Regulation on activities to improve

TEN-T roads safety”.

Black spot management of state roads:

Up to 250 black spots have been reconstructed and improved

4. PLANNED ACTIVITIES

Create Regulation on Auditors (10/2014),

Adoption of guidelines for RSIA, RSA, NSM and RSI

(12/2014),

Certification of educational programs for the auditor

training (12/2014),

Create Auditor Manual (01/2015),

Preparation of road traffic accident data and conduction of

TEN-T roads audit (02/2015).

Increase of road safety based on modern technologies
