Wave powerThere have been several attempts to harness wave power but none has been very effective but maybe this one…..

The Pelamis [Wave Energy Converter] is composed of cylindrical sections linked by hinged joints. The waves cause movement which is joints is resisted by hydraulic rams, which pump high-pressure oil through hydraulic motors. The hydraulic motors drive electrical generators to produce electricity. Several devices can be connected together and linked to shore through a single seabed cable.
