STMAAThe Santa Teresa Music & Arts Association (STMAA) is a non-profit public benefit corporation created by parents to promote, develop, and support participation in music education and other performing arts in the Santa Teresa High School community. We work in partnership with the school to create opportunities for our students to perform in band and choral festivals, marching band and color guard competitions, and other venues. STMAA is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation.

All expenses, other than Mr. Sanchez’ salary, are the responsibility of the band. Contributions are used to cover these expenses. Suggested contributions for each program breaks down as follows:

■Marching Band $900 ($350 Transportation & Housing)

■Color Guard $950 ($350 Transportation & Housing)

- Multiple fundraising opportunities are available to all students and families all year long making suggested contributions very attainable.

- Complete budget information for the school year is available from the STMAA Treasurer.

FundraisingWhile direct contribution are always accepted, all band members are encouraged to take advantage of all the fundraising programs available.

The fundraisers happening during Marching Band Season are:

Vanguard Bingo - Available to students/parents 18 and over.

Spirit Books - Available for sale beginning of September

Fan Cloth - Sales start 1st day of School for 2 weeks.

Applebees Pancake Breakfast - September 14 from 7am-10am

Dine-outs - Monthly (or more)

VolunteeringVolunteers are absolutely essential to the success of our Marching Band programs.

Opportunities are available for every level of commitment and every working schedule

■Uniforms - Fittings at beginning of season, Football games and Competitions

■Food - Food Prep (kits) prior to competition and set-up, serving and clean-up at competitions

■Equipment - loading/unloading on trucks, truck drivers, schlepping the pit (front ensemble equipment) and drum major podiums for competitions and football games.
