M

ember of the Seton Hall Women’s Swim Team

I

chose to attend Seton Hall University because it is a Catholic University,

with a Speech-Language Pathology major and a Division I swim team. I loved

the small school feel, and the beautiful campus. I immediately felt at home

here at Seton Hall.

MY ROOTS

I

was born and raised in the Albany, NY area.

I

was homeschooled from Pre-School through 12th grade.

I

have been swimming competitively since I was six years old.

M

y Mom and Grandma taught me how to cook when I was very young,

and I now love to cook and bake - anything and everything.

FAMILY

A

t home, I live with my mom, dad, sisters and brother.

M

y mom is a stay-at-home mom, however, she is a certified occupational

therapist. My dad is a small business owner.

I

am the oldest of four children.

M

y family lives on a quiet country road, with a lot of surrounding land to

enjoy.

THE FUTURE

When I graduate from Seton Hall, I will have an

undergraduate degree in Elementary and Special Education, as

well as an undergraduate degree in Liberal Studies, with a

minor in Spanish. I will also have a graduate degree in Speech-

Language Pathology.

I hope to work as a Speech-Language Pathologist after I finish

college.

I would love to pursue a doctorate degree in the future.

I hope to marry and raise a family someday.

ROAD BLOCKS

O

ne of the greatest roadblocks in my academic life will

always be money. I do not come from a wealthy family,

in fact my family cannot afford to pay for me to attend

college. However, I have discovered that a way to

overcome this roadblock is to work hard to maintain

excellent grades in school in order to earn scholarships.

FUN TIMES

S

wimming is a huge part of my life that consumes most of my free time. It has taught me

the value of hard work and perseverance in life.

I

also enjoy running, as it is a great stress-reliever from swimming.

I

love to cook and especially to bake, something I miss very much while living in college

dorms.

I

love TV shows like Law and Order SVU, Criminal Minds and White Collar.

E

ver since I was fourteen years old, I have always had after-school jobs, and I truly

appreciate the value of working and having a job. The sense of responsibility and

accomplishment that having a job provides is irreplaceable.
