Saumya looks for a military career

The main purpose of our work at Project Mala is to help underprivileged children in rural India to achieve their true potentialthrough education.  It is, therefore, very rewarding for us, and oursupporters, to see children become ambitious in trying for thingsthat without a Mala education would not have been possible.     

One such child is Saumya Raj who hasspent six years in Project Mala GuriaSchool where he achieved good grades- 92% overall and the only child with100% in maths.  Saumya has applied tojoin  the Sainik (military) College inLucknow (see link military college). The problem is that the cost is £52 amonth. which is more than twice his

father's income.  We want to encourage him, but it is outside  ournormal areas of activity.    Does anyone know of a person with a military connection who mightbe interested in funding Saumya's course?
