We are Counting Down to the
7th Annual Sharon Springs Victorian Celebration!
We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend filled with friends, family, deliciousness, shopping and football!
We are on the countdown to the 7th Annual Victorian Holiday Celebration. The
weekend highlights include a Festival of Trees, traditional events, entertainment, decorating and baking presentations, shopping with local merchants & over 40
vendors, photos with Santa, live reindeer, and much more! Scroll down to check the
schedule of events to plan your Victorian weekend and don't forget to dust off your Victorian clothes to join in the festivities!
Join in the Celebration
Jay Lavery, owner of The Permaculture Inn will present "A Heritage Holiday". Sunday, December 11th - 1 PM. Jay will talk about the Heritage breed turkeys and the Heirloom crops they will be
growing on the farm. Jay will explain the differences between contemporary and Heritage foods. He will also demonstrate how to make Duck Egg Pasta. A
presentation you will not want to miss!
Have fun dipping with the Beekman Boys! Josh & Brent will demo making chocolate dipped spoons.
One of their holiday ideas in the Fall/Winter issue of the Beekman1802 Almanac.
An Annual Favorite! Mistletoe Moustache! Performing on Saturday at 3 PM.
Now, a holiday classic! A humorous operetta, The Mistletoe Moustache, which debuted during the first Victorian Celebration, will continue to entertain. Join local Sharon Springs performers in sharing in the holiday spirit!
Celebrate the Holidays in Victorian Style It is our hope, whether you are a local resident or a visitor that you feel welcomed,
enjoy the events, have a grand time, and share in the holiday merriment. Part of the fun is dressing up for the festivities so put on your best Victorian garb and relive the days of
old on the beautiful streets of Sharon Springs.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Saturday, December 10th 7AM -12 Noon French Toast Breakfast at the Firehouse on Beechwood Road – a fundraiser for the Sharon Springs
Fire Department. 10:00 AM – 5 PM The “Winter Wonderland” at the Roseboro Annex. It will feature many events including a Festival of
Trees, a display of almost 150 animated characters, and a Snow Village Scene. 10:00 AM – 5 PM Holiday Shopping - shop the holiday vendors at The Roseboro - over 30 vendors! At The Victorian
Holiday Celebration, we hand pick our crafters to help make your shopping task a whole lot easier for you. Peruse a fantastic selection of handmade wooden toys and gifts, handcrafted jewelry and ceramics, traditional Christmas decorations, candies, jams and jellies, and stunning household items and much more!
10:00 AM – 5 PM Chris Ottman of Cherry Valley Tinsel Company will be at the Cobbler & Co. He will be there all day
and will demonstrate how he makes his very popular tinsicles and tin stars. 10:00 AM – 5 PM Santa will be set up for greeting children the ballroom at the Roseboro. Photography will be available
for pictures with Santa and a vintage Victorian photo booth. 10:00 AM – 4 PM Enjoy old-fashioned carriage rides through the streets of Sharon Springs. Wagon rides by Heather
Brooke Hill Clydesdales. – Leaving from in front of The Roseboro. 10:00 AM Presentation - Carl Stoner – Wood Turning Demonstration – Shop Area of the Roseboro - Making
Victorian Tops. 11:00 AM Presentation - Beekman Boys – The Roseboro Ballroom. Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge - will
do a demonstration on”Making Chocolate Dipped Spoons”—one of the projects in the Fall/Winter issue of the Beekman 1802 Almanac. The Beekman Boys will be in the Mercantile autographing books.
11:00 AM – 2 PM Back again this year by popular demand is acclaimed harpist, Lydia Zotto will entertain. Come enjoy
holiday favorites performed on the harp! Noon – 4 PM The Stewart Meltzer Band – Roseboro Dining Room. The Stewart Meltzer Band is a mutually
stimulating group of musical adventurers who share their excitement and artistry happily with every audience they meet.
Noon Presentation – Maria Lange– Roseboro Ballroom – “Creating a Holiday Swag with Natural Elements
& Elegant Accessories to Inspire Your Holiday Decorating.” 1:00 PM Entertainment by Pix and Holly, two mischievous elves will be entertaining children of all ages at the
Sharon Springs Victorian Holiday Celebration. They will be doing a special show at 1 PM on Saturday in the Roseboro Ballroom. A fun show you will not want to miss!
1 PM – 5 PM Wine & Spirits Tasting at The Smith-Empy-Smith Building featuring wine and spirits from McDermott’s Liqueurs. Hosted by Olde Acquaintances and Heritage Living Country and Vintage.
2:00 PM Studio North – Roseboro Ballroom - A Centre for Dance will present “Twas the Night Before
Christmas” performed by Sr. and Jr. Co. dancers. 2:30 PM Victorian Carolers will be strolling the village with Christmas Spirit and Cheer. 3:00 PM Back for another year is “Mistletoe Moustache” - A fantasy with music on the re-invention of
Christmas. Text and Lyrics were written by Karen Cookson and music by Mason Williams. The presentation features a cast of seven local performers. – Roseboro Ballroom.
4:00 PM Victorian Costume Contest with Josh and Brent of the Fabulous Beekman Boys will be emceeing the
event! Located in the Roseboro Ballroom.
4:300 PM - 8:00 PM Old-fashioned Ham Church Dinner at the Methodist Church located across the street from the Sharon
Springs School. Guests are welcome to enjoy a Victorian Christmas Celebration throughout the evening. Tickets are $10.00 for adults; $6.00 for children; 4 and under are free. Tickets are available at the door. Any questions regarding tickets please call Suzanne at 518-332-2389.
5PM – 7 PM TMAC (Teens Making a Change) at the Sharon Springs Public Library. Admission is free,
however, Teens should bring a snack or beverage to share. This event is for Teens in grades 6 and up. 7:30 PM Concert – The Depot Lane Singers - "Joys of the Season." Sharon Springs Central School
Auditorium. Ticket Prices are $8.00 for Adults and Seniors / $3.00 for Children under 12 and includes such favorites as "What Child is This?", "Ding Dong Merrily on High", "Silver Bells", "Baby It's Cold Outside", two settings of "The First Noel", along with some new and less familiar holiday songs.

of The Roseboro, Ron Ketelsen on Sunday at 2 PM in the Roseboro Ballroom. Ron was a former professional entertainer and has performed with big band legends such as Fred Waring and Lawrence Welk. He will put you in the holiday spirit with such classics as "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire," Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let it Snow," "Silver Bells." "Silent Night, and many more.
