Sea turtles nest on this beach in Costa

Rica. A female turtle born returns many

years later to lay its eggs. A sea turtle

pulls there heavy body out of the

water. The young sea turtles will face

many dangers, even from people.

Sea Turtle Eggs

A green sea turtles

lays more than 100

eggs in a nest. Each

egg is the size of a

golfball. After laying

eggs, this sea turtle

goes back to the

water.

Over the next month, it may return several times to lay more eggs. This is what I learned about turtles. Thanks for looking.
