What Types of fences are good for horses?
There are many different types of fences that are good for horses. The need for each individual horse will vary on it’s geographic location, it’s function or purpose and it’s value.
Cost of Fencing Problem
You are fencing in a square pasture with wood. You have decided to build the fence with four rows rather than three for safety reasons. Using the following information, find out how many corner post and pieces of would you will need for the fence and then calculate the cost. (*note that there should be 8ft between each post)
Given information– Each side of the pasture is 84 ft long– The cost of corner posts is 2.50 each – The cost of 1 x 6’s is 2.75 each.– The cost of nails is 6.50 per box of 1000– The cost of cement 2.00 per 50 lb bag ( you will need 2 )

Stall sizes vary according to the sex, age and size. Here are the suggested sizes:

Floors– Free from dust– Able to absorb urine– Readily available– Inexpensive
