Senior Thesis Capstone Project

The City i s My Canvas is an evening wear collection inspired by the way graffiti transforms a simple building into a unique work of art. The meaning and appearance o f each g raffiti m ural i s unique depending o n the artist and t he motivation behind t heir masterpiece. With e thereal, organic lines, bold color, and exciting personality, graffiti enhances a building by bringing it to life in a way that is unattainable through architecture alone. As graffiti embellishes a building, fabric embellishes the human body. I aspire to transform a woman’s body into a work of art. Simple silhouettes and geometric details will come to life when adorned with flowing, vibrant, hand-painted silk chiffon.
