2 thieves arrested, stolen property recovered STATE TIMES NEWS

REASI: Police on Tuesday solved a theft case by arresting twothieves and recovered stolen property from their possession.

According to a report, during the investigation of case vide FIR no.98/2016 under section 454/380 RPC of Police Station Reasi, policeapprehended two suspects namely Parvez Ahmed son of AbdulRashid resident of Malipath Kishtwar and Farooq Ahmed son ofMohd Sharief resident of Gandoh Doda. During interrogation ofthese two suspects they confessed their involvement in the said caseand on their disclosure gold items were recovered from their posses-sion which include 10 gold bangles, three ear rings(gold), two noserings(gold), three necklace and chain, one gold ring, one locket gold,two silver rings, two silver bangles, 11 silver coins, one silver banglebig size, two silver chatters and one silver bowl. The recovery wasmade by the team led by SHO Reasi Insp. Jasbir Singh assisted bySI Vinod Sharma.

RAMBAN: Police on Tuesday arrested a man and recovered 80grams of Charas from his possession.

According to a report, a team headed by Insp O.P Chib SHO PoliceStation Chandeekote during patrolling in Kunfer Chanderkote areafound one pedestrian standing at Raj Garh link road near Army GateChanderkote in suspicious circumstances. On his personal search,police recovered 80 grams of Charas from his possession. He wasidentified as Irshad Ahmed son of Abdul Rashid resident of RajGarhDistrict Ramban and a case vide FIR no 21/17 under section 8/20NDPS Act was registered against him.

STATE TIMES NEWS MAHORE: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK),Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University ofAgricultural Sciences and Technology ofJammu (SKUAST-J) organised a farmerstraining programme on 'Entrepreneurshipdevelopment in horticultural crops' at Mahorein Reasi District. The programme was organ-ised under the guidance of Associate DirectorExtension and Incharge of KVKs of SKUAST-J, Dr.R.K Arora. This village is situated in thehigher altitudes of the district where the temper-ate fruits crops are grown. The programme wasattended by the large number of farmers' of thearea. The programme was initiated byDr.Banarsi Lal, Scientist and Head of KVK,Reasi. He said the farmers that production of

temperate and sub-temperate fruit crops likewalnut, apple, pecan nut, almond, apricot etc. islow in the region although there is ample scopeof these fruit crops in the region. He advised thefarmers that by applying the new scientific tech-nologies they can increase their temperate fruitcrops production.

Dr. Suja Nabi Qureshi, scientist guided thefarmers on proper layout of orchards and elabo-rated the production technologies of temperatefruit crops. On this occasion many queries wereraised by the farmers which KVK scientistsanswered in a satisfactorily way. The pro-gramme was assisted by Mohd. Iqbal.
