Eligible players, therefore, include those whowere under contract to a National Football League club for a pre-vious season but were terminated prior to their club’s first regu-lar-season game and not re-signed, or who were placed onReserve/Injured (or another category of the Reserve List) prior totheir club’s first regular-season game and were not activatedduring the rest of the regular season or postseason.
