Our recruitment and business building services, offer Clients the benefits of our business model. Clients should not governed by recruitment “rules” that no longer apply.
A recruitment company should help a Client build their business.
Our own reduced costs and efficiencies allow us to provide an unmatched service and range of products, specifically targeted to help small businesses in Life Science and Technology sectors.
Our cost savings are passed directly to our Clients.
Services provided by Focus Ahead Consulting (FAC) will be business related.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Recruitment
Sales Training
Business Development
Tactical Marketing
Concept
The Client pays a monthly fee to retain the services of FAC.
FAC employ a number of skilled consultants who possess technical and marketplace knowledge in the Client’s sector. We have no in-house recruiters and no databases with non-current candidate CVs.
Recruitment
The monthly service fee exclusive of VAT is £185.
Within the service agreement, FAC is retained by the Client to provide search assignment capability on a needs basis.
FAC primarily recruit in the Life Science and Technology sectors, and have experienced recruitment consultants in this area.
FAC do not have Candidate Data Bases “on file” and every search is undertaken from the start with no pre-conceived Candidate list or skill set. The Clients Job Description and related documentation/discussions regarding benefits, location etc. helps determine the best skill and culture fit for the role.
Focus Ahead Services Contract This recruitment function will be contingency based (no hire/no fee) and will be calculated at 18% of the successful Candidate’s annual base pay.
i.e. £42,400 p.a. results in a calculated Fee of £7560
To this, the first 10 months of the service fee will be credited to the Client and subtracted from the recruitment fee.
So in the example above the net fee would be calculated at:
£7560 – (10 x £185) = £5710
Subsequent search assignments will be at a flat £5000 provided a current service contract is in force.
All feed and monies are listed exclusive of applicable VAT amounts.
Tactical Marketing
This is a new concept especially designed for small businesses, which do not have the bandwidth to undertake all the marketing activities that a strategic plan may outline.
For example, attendance at Trade Shows, User Group Meetings, Poster Presentations etc.
One on one meetings and feedback from Key Opinion Leaders, Market Trends, and SWOT analysis are all tasks that can be carried out at the tactical level by local FAC consultants.
This can be done at in the most cost effective way possible, without the expense of airfare, hotels etc and time by the company’s own valuable personnel. It is not good business to have key members of staff out of the office for three days to attend a half-day meeting.
These Tactical Marketing activities are costed on an individual basis, but are heavily discounted to Clients who have a service agreement in place.
All clients receive a monthly synopsis report on trends/changes/news in their market, without having to spend hours on the blogs and social network sites. The client determines the subject matter of each monthly snap shot for the month ahead.
This is especially beneficial to our non UK based Clients, where this service allows their marketing budget to go further.

Business Development
By working with you, we can better understand your company management and culture.
FAC can provide sales training and report on your internal and external process. These assignments provide benefit to us, in that we get to know our Clients better and have more face-to-face contact. For the Client, it provides a very valuable sanity check on your business actions.
Types of activities include:
•Field Days with sales reps
A full and detailed report on how an individual sales representative or agent prepares, plans and executes a day in the field.
Covering sales style, objection handling, prioritising and representing the CLIENT’S company.
•Customer Survey
A blind survey of selected users and decision makers to determine their opinions about using, buying and future buying of the Client’s and competitive products. This provides key input into barriers of supplier switching.
•Testing your Inbound responses and systems
Clients can have their customer facing departments tested by FAC acting as potential customers. The Client’s management may believe they have working processes but how often are they physically checked and reported on.
Can a customer place an order at lunchtime? If not, why not?
Does the Client web site seamlessly take the visitor to the area required?
