Upgrade for Current MB 5.1.2 Merchants
For merchants that are currently using the MB 5.1.2 version of the application, it will be
necessary to upgrade them to the new 6.2.0 MB version.
Please follow the next steps in order to upgrade your merchant:
1) From the support site, locate the merchant and click on Edit, under the Edit
Terminal option:
2) You are then taken to the Terminal Information section. In this section you will
need to do the following:
Serial NumberPlease Do Not Changethe serial number on an existing SITE ID;
when hardware must be replaced, the user must create a new SITE ID rather
than replacing the serial number on an existing SITE ID. If these instructions are
not followed, you will receive a MAM ERROR 1050during the initial
synchronization and a new SITE ID will be required to resolve the issue.
Application GroupGo ahead and select the 6.2.0 Application you wish toupgrade the merchant to. As mentioned, the 6.2.0 Application options that are
listed are based on connection type (Dial-Up, Prefix No. if Prefix situation, IP, Static IP,
etc).
Param Configuration - Select the appropriate MB 6.1 configuration. The
configuration names include the initial Night Call/Auto Updates time. Please see
Appendix A for a full detailed explanation of each 6.2.0 configuration option that

Once you are done updating the Application Group and the Param Configuration
information, you will need to scroll down and click on Apply Changes To Terminal.
Then, the terminal will automaticallybe upgraded as part of the applications Nightly
Call process (i.e., Automatic Updates Process).
Once the terminal dials into our servers to perform its nightly automatic updates, it
will conveniently download the 6.2.0 version of the application. For more information
on the Nightly Call/Automatic Updates Process, please refer to your MicroBrowser
User Guide.
MB Download InstructionsNew Terminals (i.e., Terminals that
have not used a previous version of MB)
The following instructions are for the following terminal types:
VX510/3730
VX510LE/3730LE
VX610 GPRS
VX520
VX570 Dial-up or IP
3740/3740IP
3750/3750IP
Note: For 3740/3750 terminals, the system will automatically configure them with a
static menu version of 6.2.0, meaning a version that does not include majority of theHome/Prepaid menu advances of version 6.2.0. That is because those terminal types
have older processors and as such are not capable of supporting the more dynamic
version of 6.2.0. That being said, the static menu 6.2.0 version does contain the same
enhanced Admin menu as the dynamic version.
For more information on static vs dynamic menu versions, please refer to your
MicroBrowser User Guide.

APPENDIX B: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS /
TROUBLESHOOTING
This section is intended to assist you with troubleshooting any potential issues you may
encounter on MicroBrowser 6.2.0 during the download process. Each item below
includes steps to recover and resolve the issue.
Terminal Setup:
The terminal is displaying MAM Error 1050 during the synchronization process.
What does this mean?
The issue is triggered when a user tries to replace the serial number on an
existing SITE ID. The MicroBrowser platform then adds the new number to
the bottom of a list of serial numbers for this SITE ID. The issue manifests
itself when the time occurs to sync the terminal for its NEW license; during
the sync process the platform actually places the license on one of the old
serial numbers rather than the current one. As such, when hardware
(terminal) must be replaced, the user must create a new SITE ID rather than
replacing the serial number on an existing SITE ID. Also, the user should not
forget to first delete the serial number from the existing SITE ID before
adding it to a new one. If the aforementioned instructions are not followed,
the terminal will continue to present MAM ERROR 1050during the initial
synchronization and a new SITE ID will be required to resolve the issue.
The terminal is displaying Not Authorized, please check PIN. Module
wmlModule.cs. What does this mean?
This indicates that the serial number for the terminal does not match the
serial number which has been programmed in the prepaid platform. If you
have access to the prepaid systems support site, please correct your
terminals serial number information in the support site or contact your
agent or ISO representative for assistance.
My terminal is displaying Error 00113 and will not function. What should I do?
This error indicates that your terminals memory capacity has been reached;
the terminals database(s) must be emptied and all software applications
must be re-installed. Please wipe the terminal completely and re-download
the application.

My terminal is displaying Error 2107. What should I do?
This error indicates that the modem is not connected to the phone line.
Please make the necessary connection.
My terminal is displaying Error 2103. What should I do?
This error indicates there is no dial tone. Please check the phone line
connection.
My terminal is displaying Nao Conectou COD 0/1050 and will not function.
What should I do?
This error indicates that your terminals license has not been renewed (a
required process every 30 days) during the Nightly Call process. To manually
renew the license, please follow these steps:
1. Press 0 then press the UP key.
*Note that the UP key is the first purple key to the right of the ALPHA key
2. It will ask for password, enter 000000.
3. Choose 3. Technical Menu.
4. Please select 1. Get T.A. The terminal will call into our server and validate its
license.
My Terminal displays "APARTE OK PARA CONTINUAR TELECARGA." What should I
do?This message may be presented to the user when the terminal is trying to
connect to the MicroBrowser platform during the Nightly Call process and
the connection failed. Until the terminal successfully completes this process,
this message will remain on the terminal. The solution is to press OK or the
green Enter button to bypass this screen and attempt the connection again.
If that fails, then the user should access the Technical Menu via the
steps mentioned in the previous FAQ and then select 1. Get T.A. to
complete the process.
My terminal displays T.A. InvalidaCOD: 0/1012. What should I do?
This error indicates that the SITE ID entered on the terminal during the initial
set up does not match the SITE ID for this terminal in the prepaid platform.
Please go back to the POSWEB screen, enter the correct Site ID, and then
attempt the download again.

What does the message No *Go Variable mean?
This message means that your terminal is missing the primary operating
system, known as VMAC, or that the download process for your prepaidsoftware application did not complete successfully. You will need to re-install
the prepaid application along with VMAC, if applicable.
What is the most appropriate phone line configuration for my dial-up terminal?
When configuring your phone lines to support your dial-up terminal, please
follow the recommendations below to ensure consistent connectivity to the
prepaid system:
Connect your phone line directly from the phone jack to the terminal. Do
NOT use splitters or any other devices to run multiple phone lines into
a single phone jack
Do NOT enable any line-sharing/call-waiting features for the terminals
phone line otherwise any incoming calls to that line could interrupt the
transaction process
DO NOT use digital phone lines; you must use analog lines
Do not share the terminals line with any other devices such as credit
card machines, ATMs, fax machines, etc
My location requires an 8 or a 9 to dial out. How can I configure my terminal to
support this setting?
If your terminal requires a prefix to dial out, you must select the appropriate
configuration for your terminal on the prepaid systems support sitebefore
installing the MicroBrowser software.
