One group did a 10 km the other group did a 12 km ride. The pace was between 25-30 kph (= 16-19 mph). The wind was blowing quite strong that day, which made that training ride quite challenging. … there were lots of areas with wind drifted soft sand … dust & sand was in the air getting into ears & eyes of horses & riders throughout the entire ride. … despite those conditions the horses & riders did great!
