I-HOPE Inspire Hope, Opportunity, Possibility, and Extended Servic
Hafa Adai, SIM Members:
Its been an absolute humbling honor and privilege serving as your President these past 2 yearswatching this organ
tion grow with its new members, different events and benchmarks. It makes me proud to be a part of such an empow
group of women and men. And as we continue to identify our strengths and continue to do what our mission requires
spread awareness and take concrete actions - we will continue to make many changes in the lives of young girls and
women on this island and around the world and THAT is exciting and inspiring!
My role with SIM has been a personal and meaningful one. Personal one because Ive had the opportunity to make ne
friends, some of whom have become like extended family. Meaningful, because Ive had the privilege of working with
of truly amazing, hard working, self-sacrificing, passionate, earnest, exceptional, impassioned, fun bunch of people, w
have made every SIM event truly inspirational. A group of people who have given so much of their time, and their per
lives, to make every event that we had - COUNT. And because of each of you my goal to Inspire Hope, Opportunity,
Possibility through Extended Service became more than just a thought it became a reality.
I Thank my Board for putting up with me, for allowing me to take us into new projects and different directions, and f
supporting me in so many ways. Thank you for taking on the many challenges that we faced sometimes going beyon
roles and responsibilities as a volunteer board member of SIM. Thank you for being unwilling to compromise the st
dards that SIM has set forth in the community and helping me establish Founder Region Governor Donas goal for pos
collective impact. I truly am grateful for your partnership and amazing energy and spirit. It has been an honor to serthis very thoughtful group of skilled leaders. Together weve accomplished alot, and weve certainly had some good la
along the way and... believe me, we needed them.
Thank you to the 58 members - for your support, dedication and commitment in continuing to make SIM the successf
organization that it is today. Thank you for choosing to be a part of SIM when you couldve joined any other organizat
this island. You all continue to amaze me in your dedication and quality of doing great work that which equates and
sults in a superior membership of service for the island of Guam.
And last, but not leastto my Soroptimister my husband Richard for putting up with my presidential roles/responsibilities these past 2 years.always supporting me without question and without hesitation, and always prov
a positive source of encouragement despite the challenges at times Thank You.
For this privileged experience, this great honor and this inspirational opportunity - I THANK you all.
