SikaRoof® MTC (Moisture Triggered Chemistry)
SikaRoof® MTC (Moisture Triggered Chemistry) Systems incorporate a unique technology that allows the material to use
atmospheric moisture to trigger the curing proc-ess. This means the waterproof membranes are capable of curing in a wide range of conditions including extreme temperature ranges and hu-midity variations. Unlike traditional polyurethane systems they do not release CO2, which often causes gassing, and application is not delayed by adverse weather conditions. It is not recom-mended to install the SikaRoof® MTC sys-tems when rain is imminent, as rainfall could affect the appearance of the product. However, once applied the membranes are waterproof and will not show an adverse reaction to water. Within the SikaRoof® MTC Systems is a Sikalastic® membrane that cures to provide completely seamless waterproof protection. Its liquid application means it can be easily applied to all complex detail areas.

Sikalastic® MTC Green is the Right Solution for Green RoofsSikaRoof® MTC Green, roofing solutions incorporating Sikalastic® liquid mem-branes are highly advanced root resistant polyure thane coatings, which use atmospheric moisture to trigger the curing process. They have been successfully tested to meet the requirements of DIN 4062 5.7 Root Resistance Test, proving that roots cannot penetrate through the Sikalastic® membrane.
Key Benefitsn Completely seamless fully-bonded wa-
terproofing system - preventing water migration and reducing the risk of leaks due to failure of joints
n Sikalastic® Root Resistant water-proofing membranes have been tested to meet the requirements of DIN 4062 5.7 Root Resistance Test
n Cold applied - cold fusion bonded, zero heat, zero flame application
n No fire watch required during application - installed system achieves highest fire rat-ings
n Sikalastic® MTC has been independ-ently approved by BBA
n High tensile strength - resists tear from building movement
n High elasticity - allows for greater thermal movement
n Compatible with bitumenn Environment friendly, no C02 release
