NWNA is committed to water stewardship. That means we are committed to water management that is environmentally sustainable, helps ensure the well being of people and contributes to long term prosperity for local communities.
OUR APPROACH
We adhere to rigorous standards, as
prescribed by law and our internal
practices. Next, we strive for excellence
in stakeholder engagement so that we
understand the issues and opportunities
of the local community, and together,
take action to address them. Third, is
building on relationships and lessons
learned to establish collective actions,
where mutual goals are identified that
create shared environmental, social and
economic value.

This map shows the areas where we are actively
exploring or have interest in understanding spring water
resource potential over the next few years. This includes:
+ Areas where we are actively conducting due diligence
on spring water supply for future use.
+ Areas where we have a potential future interest.
+ Areas near our current bottling facilities where we are
interested in finding new water supply for future use.
+ Areas where we would be interested to hear from
spring owners who might want to work with us.

We are committed to strengthening our community relationships by engaging the community in our siting efforts to discover how to create shared valued for the community and NWNA.
Community First
CREATING SHARED VALUE
Through the process of open and
transparent engagement, we work with
diverse stakeholders in each community
including local community members,
regional stakeholders, business
organizations and environmental
organizations to Create Shared Value. But
it takes a willingness to work together,
time to build and maintain relationships
and, of course, trust.
Pre-Siting
Developing an understanding of the communities and water sources and laying the foundation for open and transparent communication.
Initial Site Evaluation
Exploring the values we share with the community and their needs and developing an understanding of the local water source(s).
Decision Point B
Evaluating the results of Project Sustainability Evaluation and our relationship with the community to make a “stop” or “go” decision and capture learnings.
Design, Permitting and Development
Designing, permitting and constructing the facility while agreeing to on-the-ground community projects and initiatives once the proposed project is operational.

esThe NWNA Siting Framework aims to provide clarity on how we work in partnership with local communities during the siting process. By implementing a consistent and structured approach founded on a community first approach, stakeholder engagement, rigorous technical standards, water stewardship and continuous improvement, we will create environmental, social and economic value for our business and communities’ in which we operate.
We begin understanding the region and the needs of the communities to lay the foundation for open and transparent stakeholder engagement. We conduct desktop analysis of regional water resources and environmental conditions.
We continue to deepen our understanding of the region and the needs of the communities. We conduct preliminary analysis of water resources and environmental conditions.
