abrasive products. Since its establishment in 1973.
SL. Carborundum (Thailand) Co.,Ltd. has provided grinding wheels for production such as centerless grinding,
cylindrical grinding, internal grinding, surface and external
grinding, roller grinding and etc. We manufacture grinding
wheels strictly complying to ANSI, JIS and FEPA standards
and we are in the process of applying for ISO 9001 series.
The first factory which is operated since we established
our company in 1973. With 2,000 sqm. working area and
120 employees. Now, they still work hard to produce Tool
room grinding wheel and Honing stone to local and export
markets.
With the experience of ATC abrasive Consltant. Co.,Ltd. Who
designed our new factory and Production lay-out to meet
the world’s standard of Grinding wheel factory. Our second
factory have 10,000 sqm. working area and 200 employees
to produce production grinding wheels.

export and also delivery grinding wheel which be ordered.

Kind of Aluminum Oxide Wheels.
Which are cover all tools room jobs such as reconditioning and sharpening of
various types of tools and cutters. Straight wheels, Cup wheels, Dish wheels and
Mounted point wheels are applicable for Drills, Broaches, Taps, Milling Cutters,
Metal Saws, Reamers, Gear, Dies Hobs and other tools, According the various
type of tools so our Grinding Wheels are designed to suitable all of them both
types (1, 5, 6, 11 and 12) and abrasives kind and also many specifications.
Used exceptionally only for applications in which the great limitations of the usable cutting
speed and stock removal rate are acceptable in the interest of reduced initial tool cost.
Perfered for form tools and for other uses where the volume does not justify or the
applicable cutting speeds do not permit the use of carbide
First quality, highly friable white aluminum oxide grains of controller sizes are combined with a bond system
to give exceptional surface grinding capabilities for all classes of tools steels. These wheels will grind cooler
and faster than semi-friable type grinding wheels.
Precise amounts of chromium-alloyed aluminum oxide is mixed with white grain produce surface grinding
wheels that will grind hardened tool steels up to 65Rc. these wheels have exceptional corner holding
capabilities that will produce closer geometry and give desired finishes depending upon grit size selected.
This special grain is manufactured through a special cooling precess, which permits the growth of the crystal
up to adequate size by the crystallization of the melted flow without the necessity of crushing. Besides the
monocrystalinic characteristic, grain surface has no micro-cracks provoked by the violent impact of the
crushers. So the grains are very hard and excellent for some precision work. Fine grits are able to maintain
the edges longer that other abrasives such as WA for example.
38A is an another variation of White Aluminum Oxide, It is orange in color and have closely performance as
Pink Aluminum. It is most used for Profile Grinding with the Narrow Width Straight Wheels, or Profile Face
Wheels etc.

Centerless Grinding
The term Cylindrical Grinding, in general technological usage, denotes a group of grinding process whose
common characteristic is the rotation of the workpiece around a fixed axis. Consequently, all surfaces
machined by a cylindrical grinding process are in a definite relationship to a specific axis rotation.
In centerless grinding the workpiece is introduced between two wheels, the grinding wheel and the
regulating wheel, both rotation in the same direction but at different speeds. At the same time workpiece is
supported from below by a fixed work-rest blade. A component of the grinding force, acting in a direction
toward the work-rest blade, tends to impact a rotating motion to the workpiece while it is also in contact
with the much slower rotating regulating.
The grinding of internal surfaces represents a major category of grinding that has serveral distingguishing
characteristics which set it apart from the rest of the grinding motheds and warrant its discussion as a
distinctly defined process. These characteristics are essentially related to three particular sets of
restrictive operational conditions under which the precess has to be carried out.
The geometric shape of surface produced by methods included in this category is essentially flat. While the
designation “flat surface grinding” would be more appropriate, expressing more precisely the purpose of the
process, the shop usage of the term is so widely accepted that “surface grinding“ is generally
considered to imply the grinding of flat surfaces. The grinding of flat surfaces may be carried out either with
the periphery or with face of the grinding wheel.
