Add a second texture to clay:- Use slab roller to create texture.
- Lay object on clay then roll through slab roller.
Objects You Can Use:
buttons, beads, marbles
aluminum foil
sponges
lace
leaves, sticks, tree bark, anything found in nature
puzzle pieces
Other Ways To Create Texture:
• the bottom of a pair of tennis shoes
• the bottom of a drinking glass to create perfect circles
• if object is too thick for the slab roller, you can create a slab then roll object on the clay
Now You Can Build Your Slab Piece:- Your piece must be 18” in. tall.
- Your piece must be organic. This means your piece must be an irregular shape, or one that might be might be found
in nature, not a geometric shape.
-Be creative, if you used leaves to texture your slab then cut your slabs into
different leaf shapes.
