Meet Fernando

A small town in Brazil, surrounded by green rolling hills, strawberry and coffee plantations.

I was born here

I hold a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from PUC Minas Gerais University.

I went to college

here

In Belo Horizonte I worked at a bank, developing applications for account management.

My first job was here

I joined Dole Food Company in Salinas, California to do business analysis and development for applications that ranged from inventory control to pricing management to e-commerce.

Then I moved here

In 2004 I was hired by Wells Fargo Bank to manage an application to gather insights from website users and later to work on a

roadmap to evolve the account activity pages for retail banking.

... And then here

I completed a 3-year MBA program at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.

While working, I went back to school here

To be a Product Manager for web tools focused on financial advisors and to build a website for the launch of iShares funds in Brazil. BGI got acquired by BlackRock in 2009.

In 2008 I joined BGI

I combine knowledge acquired from doing user research, partnering with sales and elaborating marketing rollout plans

to build online product roadmaps.

Besides the extensive information technology experience…

To formulate a digital strategy that aligns with business goals while fostering innovation.

I like to identify customer needs and market trends…

Headed cross-functional teams and vendors to execute on product roadmap.

I am good at driving motivation and creativity

in getting to know different countries, cultures and peoples; having traveled to more than 10 countries...

For me, the spice of life is

enjoying live performances such as concerts, dance and theater.

The next challenge is

into the booming Latin American market.I have the flexibility to be located in the Silicon Valley or São Paulo.
