Functionalities of Smart Connect Packages

Smart Connect Package

Step 1

• Standard J1939

• Dialog via Diasys

• Failure code display

• Dip switch for parameter change

Step 2

• CANOpen if needed

• USB Function

- Field Data Handling

- Update firmware (upload/download)

- Update software and data (upload/download)

- Upload engine data (failure memory, running hour, etc)

Advantage of Smart Connect

• Easier data set upload and download via USB memory stick (possible for customer, without MTU service personnel)

• Fast and save data exchange via USB memory stick (engine parameter, software update, firmware update)

• Connection to genset controller via Standard J1939

• Mini DISPLAY for displaying small data values (failure codes, status)

Cost Reduction in case of Service Issues

Data handling is possible without Diasys or MTU service personnel

• Data exchange via USB memory stick

• Engine / ECU swop

upload to ECU via USB: specific system data, operating data, SW

• Diagnose (data)

Mini DISPLAY for displaying small data values (Failure code, Status)

Upload of

- failure code memory

- engine identification data (engine number, serial number, etc…)

- ECU identification (serial number, mtu number, design version, CCS, …)

- SW version identification (Application, Firmware, CCS, …)

Failure Code / Dip Switch

The Smart Connect can display all the failure codes of ECU

• Codes display in a ticker mode

• Operating mode can be displayed

(e.g. download active, download failure)

Change of parameter via DIP switch

• Parameter can be changed without using Diasys

• 4 different groups of parameter are able to change

(speed demand, Droop, Frequency, open function)
