Detroit, Michigan’s largest city is known as “Mototown” or “The Motor city” because of it’s automobile industry. The automobile industry includes car and truck makers, the factories that make, and the people who study ways to make cars better. Besides Detroit the cities of Flint , Dearborn, Pontiac, and Lansing are also important automobile centers. The Michigan Department of natural recourses and environment (DNRE) is the agency of the state of Michigan charged with maintaining natural recourses such as state forests, and recreation areas. It is governed by a director appointed by the governor and accepted by the natural recourses commission. Currently the director is Rebecca A. Humphries.
