• Create Mosaic of Photos and letters.•Place yourself in a trench and write personal letter home.•Trace U.S. intervention in WWI from election of Wilson to 1917.

The Roaring Twenties

• Write a one page personal depiction of your life in the ‘Roaring Twenties”.

• Create a timeline leading up to the events prior to Oct. 29, 1929.

• Write a comparison on the economic institutions in the 1920’s v. the 1980’s. (use three examples and one page in length.)

•How did this bring an end to the boom of the Twenties? –Examine the peak of industry and markets and show the banking system and its role in crash.

World War II

• Create a cooperative poster (with photos, quotes, and letters) .

• Come up with ten questions about what life was like during WW II, and interview a person

that lived during that time.

Review role of Soviets: Virtual Tour.

The Outcome of World War II

• Find a grandparent, relative, neighbor or friend and ask your ten questions.(Turn in answers typed.)

• In your words, what do you think would have happened if Germany would have won. 2-3 pages,

(cooperative groups 3-4 persons)

Write a letter to the teacher explaining the roles of African Americans during WW II. (2 pages)

• In detail describe the factors that led the U.S. into Vietnam involvement.(Class discussion)

• Identify the impact that President Richard Nixon had on the War. (2 pages).

foundation of understanding and analysis of the roles they as U.S. citizens have in affairs abroad and at home.
