Q1: What in your view is the

single biggest challenge

corporations and organizations

are facing today in relation to

the massive digital changes

happening globally?

A1) How to shift from the mass media mindset to mass content mindset. Social Media forces brands to look beyond advertising to a world of marketing and this includes a heavy weight towards publishing.

How many marketers do you know that are also great at publishing? It's a big challenge when you're suddenly dealing with individuals instead of blasting messages to anyone and everyone.

Q2: What impact do you think

the next billionth to join the

internet economy will have on

the internet as a whole given a

large majority will come from a

rural background? How will they

shape the internet?

A2) It's going to have one major shift:

from web-based to mobile.

These people will be highly mobile and

highly untethered. The big shift we're going to see is from a full-screen Web to a much more mobile experience.

Q3: With over 50 tablet devices

due for release globally in 2011,

what do you see as the key

change/shift in the way we

consume entertainment and

information?

A3) We move from a consumption and interactive engagement to one that is

much more human. As the devices become more simple and more connected, it makes the devices that much more human. The bigger idea here

is the shift as technology becomes that much more warmer and more human.

Q4: What do you see as the future of

traditional media outlets like Radio,

Magazines, and Newspapers? Do you

see a integrated solution with

emerging digital technologies or do

you see that only as a short-term

solution until we head towards a

complete digital convergence?

A4) As much as people like you and I love interactive and creating media,

the majority of people still enjoy a passive experience. Let's not try to make all media interactive and traditional media has the ability to maintain that demand while leveraging the digital channels for the extension of engagement for that segment of their audience.

Q5:What is the one significant

positive global change you feel the

digital realm can make? And how?

A5) Leverage this Cognitive Surplus (as

Clay Shirky says) to improve everything from the energy we use to how we treat one another. This globalization and connectivity should

serve as the foundation to bring people together, make us smarter and help us save us from ourselves.
