SOME ANY

Usamos quando não temos idéia da quantidade exata a que nos referimos,

por isso são chamados de INDEFINITE PRONOUNS.

REGRA GERAL

Some- afirmativas. Any- negativas e interrogativas.

SOME - examples

I have some friends in England. She did some exercise yesterday. My cousin brought some food last

morning.

ANY-examples

Dou you have ANY books? Did she do any exercise yesterday? My cousin didn´t bring any food

yesterday.

NO e NONE-Frases afirmativas com sentido negativo

NO- Vem acompanhado por um substantivo.

Are there any dogs in the street? NO there are no dogs in the street.

My father has no car. He has a motorcycle.

NONE- Não é seguido por substantivo.

Does Lisa have any friends in England?

No, Lisa has none.

Is there any ice cream? No, there is none.

EXCESSÕES

Pedidos ou perguntas das quais se espera resposta afirmativa- USAMOS SOME:

Did you catch some fish? Can I ask you some questions? Do you want some help with that?

ANY- Frases afirmativas

Com sentido negativo; Com sentido de qualquer.

ANY- com sentido negativo:

He never had any problem with money.He is rich.

I hardly ever have any books to read.I prefer to watch movies.

ANY- sentido de qualquer

I´ll have any dessert in the menu.I love desserts.

They are going to lend you any book you need.
