This is Southgate Barbers.

I am coming here to get my hair cut.

This is the coat rack.

I hang my coat up here when I come in the door.

This is the waiting area.

I sit here when I am waiting for the barber to call me.

I can use my iPad or play with my toys while I am waiting.

When the barber is ready he will call me up to his chair.

I will sit here and wait patiently.

When I sit down in the chair they will put the barber gown on me.

I will sit still and stay calm.

When I am getting my hair cut I can watch TV or bring in my favourite DVD to watch.

These are all the barber’s tools. Some of them are sharp but the barber will not hurt me with them.

These are the barber’s combs. They will use them to comb my hair.

This is the spray bottle.

The barber will use it to spray water on my hair and it will get wet.

If I don’t want them to use the spray bottle then they won’t.

This is the razor.

The barber will use it to cut the hair on the sides of my head.

It will make a buzzing noise and will tickle my head.

I should sit still while this is happening.

These are the scissors.

The barber will use them to cut the hair on the top of my head.

They might move quickly and look sharp but they will not hurt me.

I stay calm while they are using them.

This is the hair dryer.

The barber will use it to make my hair dry again.

It makes a loud noise and blows hot air onto my head.

When I am finished my haircut I can pick a sweet from behind the till.

This is my reward.
