Looking Back at HALO HALO FESTIVAL 2014
Our maiden launch on August 17, 2014 at Artscape
Wychwood Barns attracted more than 2000 visitors, volunteers
and participants from different communities with diverse cul-
tures.
“Make Your Own Halo Halo”, the well-beloved Filipino
dessert, earned its crown from people who came as far as Port
Hope to make their own favorite mixture from 12 different deli-
cious and colorful ingredients.
The ethnic and cultural dances, games, songs and mar-
tial arts performances added to the spirit of Filipino fiesta.
En plein air painting (open air painting) and art exhibits
captured the interest of the art lovers. Public officials and other
personalities became willing subjects for the painters.
