What is Easy Edit Suite (EES)?

• A pre configured ‘out of the box’ simple editing solution.A pre configured  out of the box  simple editing solution.• An editing ‘add on’ for Squiz Matrix from 3.28.0+.• A way for clients to start editing content straight away without 

being exposed to admin mode and without the resource investment required to develop complex Simple Edit Layouts.

• An interface to edit Squiz Matrix content from Squiz CMS• An interface to edit Squiz Matrix content from Squiz CMS.• A framework for building more sophisticated editing solutions 

to support specific business publishing requirements – i.e. ‘Workspaces’.

Why have we created EES?

• A big part of our next step forward as a company e.g. ‘SquizA big part of our next step forward as a company e.g.  Squiz Suite’.

• To address the complex nature of configuring Simple Edit Layouts.

• Clients want something that ‘just works’ and can be setup within minutes.within minutes.

How do we install EES?

1. Squiz Matrix 3.28.0+. New features require 3.28.3+ up until1. Squiz Matrix 3.28.0 . New features require 3.28.3  up until but not including v4.

1. Use to:• Navigate via redirect to other assets under the current website.• Select parent(s) when in creation wizard.• Select new link location parent when used from the linking 

screenscreen.• Select content to nest when editing nested areas within standard 

pages.2. Features include: breadcrumbs, auto browse, auto scroll, child 

counts and customisable root nodes for default panel.

EES WorkspacesWhat are workspaces?What are workspaces?

• Predefined “out of the box” interfaces for managing specific business content in the one area e.g. news, image galleries, calendars.W k ill t ifi i l t ti d d t• Workspaces will expect specific implementation and data structures/configurations in order to function correctly.

• Initially two workspaces will be available to manage image galleries and news items.

• Future workspaces will include extensions to these to allow for different implementation approaches, as well as workspaces todifferent implementation approaches, as well as workspaces to handle more complex assets like calendar events.

• Assists with managing complex content from Squiz CMS due to lack of EES toolbarof EES toolbar.

• Configured root nodes automatically switch the editing interface to use workspace look and feel.
