Project Goals Satisfied?

• Safety Improvements

– Statistically, roundabouts are safer than traditional signalized intersections.

– Both alternatives will improve the geometry of the intersection and accommodate large vehicles.

• Drainage Improvements

– The existing drainage network will be improved with either alternative; however, the roundabout would require a more complex drainage system.

• Arterial Efficiency and Operations

– Both alternatives would improve the efficiency and operation of the arterial network.
