Components of decision making
• Identify decisions and key factors that support decision making
Requirements
• Get & Cleanse Data• Store it in centralized user friendly extendible format (Dimensional model)

Decisions
Find most efficient ways to increase traffic for existing pages (= key factors) and make decision which one to choose.
Key areas (options): Top Pages / Keywords that lost traffic Pages / Keywords that are close to significant
increase Develop “long tail” keywords
Google Analytics Page views by Page Title
Google Analytics Page views by Keyword
Google Analytics Page views by City / Country
Our Dashboard & Data WarehouseWe have created requirements driven data warehouse & dashboard to support well formulated key decisions and support creation of “to do list” for chosen decision.
The initial purpose of the data warehouse and dashboard:1) IS NOT to discover new data (we have only key data not everything)2) IS NOT to perform ad-hoc analysis (although that is one of the current “side affects”)3) IS NOT to provide “big picture” of everything we do (only key factors)4) IS NOT to have perfectly clean data (Our data is acceptable but not 100% clean or accurate, as it is affected by many factors but this is fine because it doesn’t affect our key decisions and it would take some time to clean it properly and I don’t need it….yet! So I will clean it on “as needed” basis.
SSRS or Google Analytics Final Verdict
I LOVE Google analytics as a self service BI tool! But….
I prefer SSRS for supporting key decision makingSo…
I use both!
Before we go to final slide…are there any questions?
