Stewardship Moment January 21, 2018 3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time
“Follow me and I will make you fishers of men.” - Mark 1:17
Jesus’ call to “Follow me” is a call to all Christians! The call is in the here and now, in our present circumstances, not when we think we are “ready” or have
everything in order. Good stewardship of our God-given gifts means that things aren’t always going to go according to our schedule and that God has a much better plan in store for each of us.
Lifesavors Relay for Life Team will be hosting a

Prayer for Today: My Jesus, I always try to be there for others, I know sometimes I fail, I know it is not possible to help everyone, but please give me the strength to continue to be a person of prayer and to give as much of myself as I can to fulfill Your command to love You and love others. Each
day brings new opportunities to show that love, through my actions, through my words, through my prayer and support. I pray that other people see the love in me so they can pass it on to others in their lives. Let all of us be a reflection of You, Lord, in Your goodness and mercy. Amen

Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Sacred Heart #1908
It is the New Year again. May all the goodness that comes with a fresh start follow you wherever you go, and whatever you do, as you enjoy the new blessings and fresh abundance of the New Year. Happy New Year! On Friday, Dec 22nd, 15 Catholic Daughters and Knights of Columbus went Christmas caroling at the nursing home. Thank you to all who came to sing. It was wonderful to see the faces of the residents and most even joined in the singing. Afterwards we went to Spectators for supper and played some games. It was an evening of good fun and fellowship.
Upcoming Events: We will be having a bake sale on Saturday, January 27th at 8 am during the rummage sale. Thanks Ann Adams and Carol Vondal for chair-ing this event. Also we will be having a soup and sandwich lunch on the same day from 11 to 1pm. There will be 8 kinds of soup! Our next meeting will be Monday, Feb 5th with rosary at 7:10pm with meeting to follow at 7:30 pm. Lunch hostesses will be Vanessa Anderson, Ann Schneibel and Kathy Grossman. At this meeting we will discuss our national projects and charities.
If you are not a Catholic Daughter or are one but haven’t been to a meeting in a while, try something new this year, and please join us! We would love to have you! In unity and charity, Donna Marthe, Vice Regent
