Pope’s June Intention The Way of the Heart
We pray that all those who suffer may find their way in life, allowing themselves to be touched by
the Heart of Jesus.
SPIRITUAL COMMUNION When unable to attend Mass
+ In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen. OUR FATHER
Collect Let the power of the Holy Spirit come upon me, O
Lord, I beseech thee: that he may both mercifully
cleanse my heart and defend me from all adversities.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
The Epistle (Revelation 3:20) Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man
hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to
him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
The Gospel (St. John 15:5) I am the vine, ye are the branches. He that abideth in
me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. Take a moment to think of the failures of the past week: recall any sins you have committed since your last Communion and offer them to Christ.
Act of Contrition O God, I am very sorry that I have sinned against thee
who art so good. Forgive me for Jesus’ sake, and I will
try to sin no more.
Act of Reception In union, dear Lord, with the faithful at every altar of
thy church where thy blessed Body and Blood are
being offered to the Father, I desire to offer thee praise and thanksgiving. I believe that thou art truly present
in the Holy Sacrament. And since I cannot now receive
thee sacramentally, I beseech thee to come spiritually
into my heart. I unite myself unto thee, and embrace
thee with all the affections of my soul. Let me never be
separated from thee. Let me live and die in thy love. Amen.
Come Lord Jesus, dwell in thy servant in the fullness
of thy strength, in the perfection of thy ways, and in
the holiness of thy spirit, and rule over every hostile
power in the might of thy Spirit, and to the glory of thy Father. Amen.
May the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ
preserve my body and soul unto everlasting life.
Amen.
Act of Praise and Thanksgiving + Blessed, praised, and adored be Jesus Christ on his
throne of glory in Heaven, and in the most Holy
Sacrament of the Altar. Amen.
Anima Christi Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
Body of Christ, save me;
Blood of Christ, inebriate me; Water from the side of Christ, wash me;
Passion of Christ, strengthen me;
O Good Jesus, hear me; Within Thy wounds hide me;
Suffer me not to be separated from thee; From the
malicious enemy defend me; In the hour of my death
call me, and bid me come to Thee. That with all thy
Saints I may praise thee Forever and ever. Amen. +In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
GOOD BYE! It has been a blessing and an honor to serve with you all at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Thank you for the way you received me and for your support and your example throughout these past two years. I know you will welcome Fr. Joe Barbieri in the same way. May God bless each of you and may we continue to pray for one another. With the Peace of Christ, Fr. Timothy Hayter

have all paperwork!
Music Ministry Summer Update Our experience of worship has changed this
year with the outbreak of COVID-19. We are grateful to our cantors and instrumentalists who have provided music for the weekend Masses–through sound system modifications and mask wearing requirements–so that we can more fully pray the sacred liturgy in song.
So far, we have had to suspend choral singing throughout this pandemic, however, we have been creative in connecting in our ministry with online video rehearsals and placing small groups of musicians at a distance when we meet in person. Students of all ages are continuing to practice their musicianship with all the free time at home. Even in these uncertain times, our ministries continue to serve the community as SEAS.
We said goodbye to our beloved Music Secretary, Connie Janousek, as she retires and moves to her hometown in North Dakota. Before serving in the Music Ministry, Connie cared for our children in the nursery for decades. She will truly be missed.
On Wednesday, June 24, we will join in to sing on the walking trail at 8:00PM (still plenty of light!). All are welcome to join and sing, wearing face masks and keeping a minimum of 6 feet distance from one another. To mark our solidarity in these difficult times of disease, we will be singing the following hymn a cappella:
When in Our Music God is Glorified 1. When in our music God is glorified,
and adoration leaves no room for pride, it is as though the whole creation cried,
Alleluia! 2. How often, making music, we have found
a new dimension in the world of sound, as worship moved us to a more profound
Alleluia! 3. So has the church, in liturgy and song,
in faith and love, through centuries of wrong, borne witness to the truth in every tongue:
Alleluia!
4. And did not Jesus sing a Psalm that night when utmost evil strove against the Light?
Then let us sing, for whom he won the fight: Alleluia!
5. Let every instrument be tuned for praise! Let all rejoice who have a voice to raise!
And may God give us faith to sing always: Alleluia!

"The Lamb of God," "The Bread of Life," "The
Body and the Blood of Christ"... these are phrases we know from the Mass. But do we
understand what they mean in the greater and deeper context of Scripture and Church
teaching? We'll discover firsthand how Christ's Body and Blood are an integral and wondrous
part of God's plan for our salvation.
SAINT JOHN FISHER AND
SAINT THOMAS MORE June 22 From Robert Bolt’s classic A Man for All Seasons to Showtime’s edgy The Tudors, Thomas More endears himself still: lawyer-statesman of impeccable integrity, remarried widower and affectionate father delighting in a lively household—four children, a pet monkey, even a paid jester! And challenges still: humanist-reformer, yet champion of Catholic faith and papal primacy. John Paul II named him Patron of Statesmen and Politicians, citing More’s generous work, both as a lawyer and in government service, on behalf of the poorest and most
marginalized people of his time, as well as his promotion of education for all sectors of society. More’s decision for principle over politics, conscience over convenience prompted his final words: “I die the king’s good servant, but God’s first.” Alone among England’s bishops, John Fisher dared challenge Henry VIII’s divorce and repudiation of the papacy. When the Pope named the imprisoned Fisher a cardinal, Henry thundered: “Don’t bother sending Fisher’s red hat here; I’ll send Fisher’s head to Rome!” Whose “good servants” are we first? Isn’t a right conscience worth the pain of standing alone? —Peter Scagnelli, Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.

OPEN to
All who desire to grow in faith!

BUT will not be something we rush into. We miss each of you! As things continue to OPEN
UP; we may be able to MEET in smaller groups, in a limited activity capacity where we can
PRACTICE social distancing while still being able to meet and build community. So please
continue to pray!
