The Knight Warrior
Newsletter
THE EVIDENCE IS SEEN IN THE FLOURISHING Dear Brothers in Christ,
In the world of nature, everything has its time. If the rains come too early, the farmer can’t
plant his field. If they come too late, the seed in the ground will die. But in coming just right,
the farmer enjoys an abundant harvest. By the grace of God, the time for the Knights of
Columbus to form a chapter at St. Joan of Arc must have been just right. The evidence is
seen in the flourishing!
I am both proud and grateful for our officers. Led by our worthy Grand Knight Mike Bragg,
they have chartered an ambitious course and have navigated it successfully. I am also both
proud of and grateful for our general membership. We make up a formidable group of faith-
filled servants in the spirit of Father McGivny, our founder.
What will the future bring? I hope and pray continued blessings. Finding new members is
always a challenge, but more challenging (and here I think every council would agree) is
getting current membership to stay involved. We have a very exciting campus renewal
agenda to be implemented in the next two years, as well as continued renewal in faith and
service. No doubt we’ll stay busy!
Vivat Jesus!

Working to Forward the Mission of St. Joan of Arc
St. Joan of Arc Knights of Columbus, Our Story
From the Grand Knight- WOW – What a year. As we hit the 1
st anniversary of St. Joan of Arc
Council 15905 receiving its charter, I have trouble holding back my pride in what we have accomplished in such a short period of time. Our Council is up and running smoothly. We are participating in many State, Local and National programs. We are working with Fr. Adam and other groups at the Parish to forward the mission of St. Joan of Arc. We have successfully completed 2 audits. We have raised money and material goods for charity. And most importantly, we have grown in our faith by our attendance at Mass, praying the Rosary together and being instructed in our Faith by Deacon Stan.
We are already a double star Council for this year and on our way to triple star. It seems our Council is acknowledged at almost every State meeting one of our officers attends. A big personal thanks to all of you for your active participation in the meetings and activities of the Council. A special note of thanks to our Chaplain, Fr. Adam for his spiritual guidance and to our Financial Secretary, Willi Meyer, for actually reading all of the material put out by State and Supreme Councils and keeping us on track. May God Richly Bless You All. Vivat Jesus!

From the Editor- I am constantly reminded of 1
st Peter
3:15, “Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope.” One year ago on March 5, 2014 the St. Joan of Arc Knights of Columbus began. So much has been accomplished in one year. It is my desire to use this newsletter to tell our story, to give a reason for our hope. I struggle because I don’t know where to begin. There is so much to tell. How can I give justice to our work? The 80 plus members of the Knights of Columbus are involved in every fabric of the parish and community. Where there is service, there is often a Knight leading it or participating in it. So many activities I did not capture in this newsletter such as the visits to the nursing homes and hospitals, the pancake breakfasts for the less
fortunate, the Thanksgiving Dinner, the morning Rosaries, the small faith groups, the Parish and school councils, the Mission Trips to the prisons, and the great work of the Society of St. Vincent De Paul. What I did put together is just a collection of pictures from a few of the many activities that the St. Joan of Arc Knights are participating. Please continue to send me your pictures and your stories. Let’s continue to tell our story in this second year of the St. Joan of Arc Council of the Knights of Columbus. Let’s continue to give an explanation to anyone who asks, the reason for our hope. Vivat Jesus! Richard Cronin
