Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
In today’s Gospel St. Peter asked Jesus: “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive? As many as seven times?” Imagine if Jesus would ask Peter the same question: “How often would you like me to forgive your sins?” For the first question Peter gave the number “7 times”. For the second question, I wonder if he would give the same number only “7 times” too. I doubt about that. This Gospel compels us to reflect more about “practicing forgiveness” in our lives. Contra-rily, we certainly want God to forgive us over and over again, on the other hand, we give a limit when we come to forgive others. If we say to ourselves: “I am not ‘foolish’ to forgive someone who keeps offending me or hurt me over and over again. Maybe I can forgive that person two or three times maximum but no more”. The question is that who is “foolish”? If the person who offended us has been forgiven by God through the Sacrament of Penance whereas we don’t? In this case, the one who wronged the other was forgiven whereas the one who did not forgive was not forgiven. The reason why Jesus asked us to forgive over and over again since we have no right to condemn anyone, only God has that right. However, the only right or more precisely the privi-lege that Jesus gave us is the “right” to forgive others. Indeed, we are all sinners and how can sinners condemn sinners? Only the guiltlessness can condemn. Let us cease condemnation and increase forgiveness. Let us forgive so that we will be forgiven. “Lord, forgive us as we for-give those who trespass against us” Amen. Fr. Joe Pham.

WITH PROFOUND GRATITUDE For
YOUR WEEKLY SUNDAY OFFERINGS
In the name of the Risen Christ, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your faithfulness of giving. Your Weekly Sunday Offerings are greatly appreciated especially during this difficult time. It is sad that our communal worship has to be suspended; however our parish’s operational expenses are still incurred. Therefore, every financial offering is so meaningful and essential to the life of our parish. I am truly grateful to you for continuing your financial support during this tough time. Be assured that your financial sacrifices during this time will not be passed over without God’s no-tice. May many graces and blessings be be-stowed upon you and your families. Fr. Joe Pham.
