3) Tocreateahistogramfortheactor’sageswhentheywontheOscar:

a) SelectGraph→Histogram

b) StatCrunchusesvariablesintherightcolumntocreategraphs,soweneedtomovethevariableagetotherightcolumn.Todothis,justclickonthevariableageintheleftcolumn.

c) Tocreatethehistogram,clickontheComputebuttoninthebottomrightcorneroftheHistogramdialoguebox.

Butwait...maybeyoucanimprovethehistogrambyadjustingthebinwidth.Learnhowonthenextpage.

4) Tochangethebinwidthofyourhistogram:a) SelectGraph→Histogram.b) Ifnecessary,clickonthevariableagetomoveittotherightcolumn.c) EnteranewwidthintheBins:Width:textbox.ThenclickonComputeinthebottomright

corneroftheHistogramdialoguebox.

Startwithabinwidthof10.Thenrepeatandtryabinwidthof5.Repeatwithotherbinwidthsuntilyouachieveanappropriatebinwidth.

5) Whenyouhaveahistogramwithabinwidththatbestrepresentstheshape,center,andspreadoftheagedata,you’llneedtocreateaPDFofyourhistogramandthenuploadthePDFwithyourinitialposttothediscussion.
