due to topografic issue, more site awareness was needed, especially on managing the 12metres high contoured. Cutting and Filling system were done, together with zoning
separation based on user necessity.
The building masses are divided into four major parts which are public mass, privat mass, service mass and circulation mass. The circulation mass is upright to the other masses in order to maximize its function through the whole building. The location of the circulation mass refers to the tree characteristics in draining the trees which have the main straight major
circulation system.

Guest House ProjectBandung, Indonesia
I was required to design a guest house which was located on contour topografy. I really enjoyed learning cutting and filling system in order to reduce the waste of useless soil on 12metres high countored land.
In this design, I tried to link the city context by taking the tree geometry (triangle) as a driving force for the whole building geometry. This decision goes parallel with the tropical country condition which needs certain angle of roof slope to flow the rain water.
This project also helped me to have more exercise on sketches and develop my water color and water pencil skill. I love to sketch and make it coloured as it shows the human feeling and more expression to the design itself.
Hopefully, I was chosen to be the best student who coped with this project properly.

Zoning - Concept - Objectives

site analysis made big consideration on horizontal zoning area on the site. the more it get closer to the main road, the more public
function it should be.
in tall building system, the important thing is the vertical system and its utility system, thus it’s better to be located on the centre of the
building.
the room configuration based on the rubic concept enhance the social life among two
users by having the common terrace.

High Rise ProjectBandung - Indonesia
The first approach to this project was awareness of the city indentity and context area by carefully exploring the site analysis and surrounding area so that this particular building would fit into the context and the concept. Otherwise every building can be located anywhere.
Rubic was taken as the concept for this building and the way how it plays determine the configuration of the building storey.
this was my first time exploring 3dmax and do the rendering by my self and this project taught me a lot about designing a public and a private building which was located on the same site.a vertical layer protection against the heat
from western sunshine was proposed on the west skin of the building.

The building configuration give the appreciation to the junction by having smooth tube geometry but morover, it respects the urban tissue by designing the main building geometry to have the same line with the
surrounding area.
The concept of this building is the methafore of two symbol. firstly was the symbol of snake sustaining on the stick and secondly is the
positif sign as the health symbol.
The zoning distinction among various user was important. The building was designed to have 7 storey and 2 storey of basements. The area on the groundfloor was set to be opened to public, the more storey it goes up, the more private function it would be. The top floor and another floor beneath were designed as
laboratories.
Catholic Parahyangan UniversityFinal Year Project
School ProjectBandung - Indonesia
This is my final project on undergraduate study. I chosed to make a school of health and science because this kind of shcool is a little bit different from other regular school. It has additional facilities such as 12 kinds of laboratories and it gave me more knowledge on designing a public building such as this particular school.
In designing a school, zoning area both horizontally and vertically + user circulations are the most important issues. I configurated the zoning area with the conceptual geometry based on the the combination of the symbol of snake sustaining on the stick and the positif symbol concept.By doing this project, I have got new knowledge about user distinction between teachers, students and visitors amenities.
Hopefully, I got distinction and the First winner award on this project
In term of facade design, I chose the simple ornament with using vertical and horizontal elements only. The utilization of the ornament is also based on the rooms necessity, where on the western side, the shading were mostly set to
be horizontal.
The school was located on the compact urban characteristic therefore green area inside the building was considered to be necessary. this green area was a part of the implemention of
green design on the whole building.

Facade design gave me new knowledges on material behaviour and its physicology on human when it is applied to architectural
design.
by design a wadrobe, I realized that detailing in interior is another big task that worth to be
learned.
Designing Entrance Gate was not as easy as it is seen. I played around with the proportion, shape balance and material. This project was more challenging since it has traditional java culture concept with should go parallel with
the gate design.

This was my first time designing the real project. Even though I only design the Facade of this small building, On the second project at Ciumbuleuit street, i had a chance to explore more material in a bigger scale building. I learned different kind of materials and their psicology meaning. It was very worth to learned experienced.

I had a chance to design real interior project, starting from a 6 x 3 metres high wardrobe until a full set living room area at Batununggal project.
Designing real interior project has opened my eyes about the understanding of detail part of an architectural form. It is not only about designing how it looks, but moreover, it is about learning how it works.
Designing the living room interior has widened my knowledge about material which can be used inside.I also learned about the light fitting system in order to give optimum performance to the whole living area. The location of the lighting have big contribution to the whole
living room space experience.

Mediterranian House projectBandung - Indonesia
I started my work as aan architect on a group design team at CV Sinar Surya Abadi. Meeting the client in such official way has opened my eyes to understand the client amenities better. Worked in a team also has built me to be more responsible architect because we were depending on others.
On this project, I collaborated with senior to design a three storey classic mediterranian house. The interesting design stage was designing a facade. Since the house is located on the junction and its plan was mostly square, the facade design became somehow tricky. After a long discussion with the owner, finally we decided the design a classic and balanced facade.

On this project, I was trusted to be the principal architect and design the overall scheme of the house. I was so happy to have the opportunity to have my own house design. Leading a team was also shaped me to be a more responsible and sensible architect. I learned how to deal the client and understand my team necessity.
Building a house for me is very interesting. We try to understand and deliver their amenities by presenting architectural ideas which should be comfortable and affordable.
at the construction stage, I learned a lot about the detail join which can be clearly seen on the
finishing stage only.

I was required to design a student accommodation with the most efficient room space as possible. it was challenging but I learned how to minimize the wasted area in a room. The front area of the building was considered to be cafe which open to public thus the zoning arrangement between private and public space was very important.

This time the client of the house want his house to be light and dynamic. Therefore first approach was the massing arrangement, allowing the most sunshine pass through every room of the house with the combination of hard and soft materials such as timber, stone and glass.

The four-storey existing building A which was located by the Trent River would have a new
function as studio flats and a multipurpose space.
Residential Area is facilitated by social spaces , public services such as supermarket, cafe and
accessible pedestrianThe idea of maximizing water source (Trent Basin) was carried out by reusing and recycling the water to supply the housing community.
The first housing type is 3 bedrooms houses, called the family units .16 units x117sqm, placed in terraced arrangement and several group to
maximize the solar gain into the house.
The second Housing type is called The Working Units. the 35 houses organized to be pairs of lower and upper units. Every upper and lower units are interlocked each other in order to save the site space and encourage the
environmental strategy in every units.
urban context awareness was done by designing a public garden on the northen side
of the site which act a s a buffer space.
The five storey Existing building B by the Trent basin would be regenerated as a public building with workshop, café and offices.

a project focused on the regeneration of the two existing buildings and the creation of a sustainable Multi-Comfort community living and working accommodation to achieve a zero carbon living style. Refurbishment were done onto Exisiting Building A and B.Masterplan of 51 dwellings was based on the microclimate analysis by environmental design tools and several physical model testing to achieve the best configuration.
There are two types of house in the housing community and both of them had the same environmental strategies in dealing the heat, thermal and wind issue. All of the proposed strategies were correctly and carefully calculated to achieve the passivehaus standard requirements.
On this project, I really gained a lot of experience in becoming a real responsible architect of what we’ve designed. I realize Ecotect Optivent and TAS manager are really beneficial.

Design Methodology
2012.01 - 2012.05
the first site (lordsmill) was located on the industrial area which was on poor condition, therefore the aim of this project is to develop
this area to be a new destination area. v
the proposed bridge scheme used american white oak timber as the material, using bending-active system and interlocked with bolt system to create a unique bridge design.
another site, called Hollis Lane located 400metres from the first site, adjacent to the railway line has its unique issue regarding to
noise and prevailing wind direction.
Second Term Studio Project atUniversity of Nottingham
Bridge DesignChesterfield, UK.
I was required to design a couple of bridges in Chesterfield as parts of pedestrian and cycle network within the city and bigger city development. Chesterfield is famous for its Crooked Spire on The Paris Church of St. Mary, therefore my bridge design concept was simply ‘laying down’ the spire towards ground to bring out the spiral euphoria in human scale. The key aspect of this proposed scheme is the timber cladding system which is interlocked each other and with various of penetration giving unexpected pleasant space experience. A multipurpose park under the Lordsmill site is proposed as an extension of the bridge which can be used as a flexible recreation area and facilitates a market area. Moreover, a direct connection between two bridges is also proposed and contribute to the proposed future pedestrians and cycle routes in Chesterfield which is arranged by the Chesterfield City Council.
By finsihing this project I realize my architectural ideas has developed because the help of digital tools such as rhino. It helped me rationalize the complicated geometry and give me more possibility to work on interesting architectural area.
ecotect help me to determine the skin shape configuration and rhino help me to integrate the interlocking system in order to deliver the
unique pleasan feeling inside the brige.
physical model experimentation makes me realize what is possible and not and learn about the detail joint in more contextual way.
